Marley's concealed design options
10 January 2012
The newly launched Marley Sanitary Systems range of concealed cisterns, boasts both mechanical and pneumatic dual & single flush actuation options and top or front access, allowing simplified cleaning and maintenance as well as offering a highly sustainable and practical system for specifiers and installers alike.
A particularly green choice, Marley’s stand alone concealed cisterns are available with a dual flush amenity of six and three litres (and four and two litres), in line with the latest revision to Part G of the Building Regulations: ‘The potential consumption of wholesome water by persons occupying a dwelling to which this regulation applies must not exceed 125 litres per person per day,’ – saving money as well as water.
Fiona Bashford, Marketing Manager at Marley Plumbing and Drainage comments: “With UK toilets needlessly flushing away 1.2 billion litres of water a day, functions such as dual flush WC cistern capabilities promote best practice in water economy and hygiene in domestic and commercial washrooms. Marley’s new portfolio of WC sanitary systems all contain cisterns that are available with a dual flush amenity of six and three litres, providing up to 30% water reduction helping to save money and the environment.
“Marley also offer the only dual flush electronic ‘touch’ flush actuation plate in the UK, as well as selected products with a four and two litre flush reducing the volume of water used even further.”
In addition, the new infrared sensor operated WCs and urinals result in controlled flushing, preventing needless usage by ensuring that the auto-flush cistern is only filled, and can only flush, when the washroom is used. This is particularly pertinent to urinals, which tend to use an automatic system that constantly flushes, using a lot of water through the system, which is actually potable or drinking water. Infra-red urinal flush plates will eliminate this and instead conserve water as they are only activated when needed. They also have an automatic function which initiates a flush every 12 hours if not used, to ensure the area is kept fresh and hygienic.
The range of sanitary systems available is also ideal for high traffic locations, as cleaning and maintenance is simplified through the innovative and compact design, which covers any exposed pipe-work and fittings. The enhanced finish is instantly attractive for end users, whilst the design reduces areas that are likely to harbour bacteria. The cleaning of surrounding floors and walls is made easy with a sanitary frame, improving hygiene levels.
Furthermore, the provision for maintenance is increased via rear service ducts, whilst the cisterns themselves provide top and front access.
The extended Sanitary Systems portfolio comes as part of a renewed focus on innovation at Marley and enables the manufacturer to offer a more complete plumbing and drainage solution, including soil and waste, rainwater and hot & cold water systems. A free advisory and design service is also available, supported by a team of experienced field based personnel.
