Elveden Farm Estate was founded in 1895 and is situated within a recognised conservation area. Spanning over 100 acres, the Estate comprises a selection of shops offering seasonal food, wine and souvenirs, as well as an AA* rosette restaurant and country cottages to rent.
The Evolve system has been installed on the estate's office, a stone built, two-storey development, situated in the grounds' entrance. "Due to the prime position of our offices, it was essential we selected a rainwater system that provided classic good looks, but did not compromise on performance," comments Tony Goode, Property Manager at Elveden Farm Estates. "Our time scale was also extremely tight, we therefore needed a product that was available quickly and took minimal time to install."
Evolve Deeplow is a semi-elliptical profile with an exceptional hydraulic performance of 4.9l/s. The system was supplied in the popular Heritage Black finish, which has a textured surface to emulate the appearance of cast iron yet, at over 75% lighter, aluminium is much easier to handle on and off site. Alutec Evolve systems are extremely durable, lasting for more than 50 years, whilst the polyester powder coating ensures a hardwearing, fade resistant finish, which will last the lifetime of the product.
Meeting the demands of a quick installation process, the Alutec Evolve range benefits from the JuraJoint system, an innovative method of jointing an aluminium gutter quickly and securely. Alutec sealant is simply applied in one thin bead into the central rib of the rubber seal. When the joint is snapped together it ‘bonds' the rubber seal to the gutter surface making the joint durable, thermally flexible and leak free.
Tony Goode concludes, "Not only did the Evolve system tick all the aesthetic requirements of Elveden Farm Estate, but its superior performance provides added piece of mind that the rainwater system will stay looking good for years to come. Marley also managed to adhere to our strict time scale, meaning the guttering was fully installed only a week after the initial specification took place. We are now considering specifying Marley Alutec products across a number of additional buildings here at Elveden."
