Gutter jointing

Gutter jointing

Clip jointed systems

Clip jointed systems

The following gutters have clip jointing:

  • Classic ogee style
  • Miniline small half round

All fittings have a pre-fitted clip, the gutter is inserted under the rear clip of the fitting. At the same time, the front edge of the fitting is eased forward and up until the gutter clips under the front edge. Each length of gutter should be fitted to the insertion line marked on the fitting.

Notched jointed systems

Notched jointed systems

The following gutters are notch jointed:

  • Industrial large half round

Fittings have an integrally moulded retaining nib which locates into which a notch cut on the gutter locates. Notches are pre-cut on each length of gutter and can also be cut on site. When correctly assembled, a notched joint cannot pull apart and will allow the gutter to expand and contract whilst maintaining a watertight seal.

Systems with the Easyclip

Systems with the Easyclip

Clip-master, Flowline and Deepflow are jointed with the new innovative Easyclip and have a choice of two fixing methods.

Gutter is supplied plain for installations using the common method of fixing key gutter fittings to the fascia board to control thermal movement. However, with the unique notch adaptor, the gutter can be adapted to a notched system and only one side of the gutter has to be notched. A combination of conventional and notched gutter joints can be used to good effect on the same installation. A notched joint being used to retain a length of gutter at the end of the installation is particularly effective. It is also recommended that the notch method of jointing is used where rise and fall or rafter arm fixings are used.
