New high capacity addition to Alutec Evolve range
27 November 2009
Alutec Evolve, one of the most sustainable and cost effective rainwater systems available, now features a new high capacity gutter; 125mm beaded edge Deepflow gutter and a 76mm Flush-Fit circular downpipe system.
Evolve Deepflow is a semi-elliptical profile with an exceptional hydraulic performance of 4.9l/s, enabling it to efficiently drain larger roof areas, roofs with long, steep pitches or to reduce the number of drain connections required.
The Evolve aluminium range is extremely durable and lightweight, lasting for more than 50 years, whilst the polyester powder coating ensures a hardwearing, fade resistant finish, which will last the lifetime of the product.
The new addition is available in 20 standard colours, manufactured from architectural grade polyester powder, the most durable decorative finish available. Evolve Deepflow is also supplied at a lower price in the popular Heritage black finish, which has a textured surface to emulate the appearance of cast iron yet, at over 75% lighter, aluminium is much easier to handle on and off site.
The Evolve range also benefits from an innovative JuraJoint, a new method of jointing aluminium gutter that combines the advantages of EPDM rubber and the security of a high performance silicone. The sealant is simply applied in one thin bead into the central rib of the rubber seal. When the joint is snapped together it ‘bonds' the rubber seal to the gutter surface making the jointing durable, thermally flexible and leak free.
Evolve also meets the ever-growing demands for more sustainable building products, as aluminium is one of the only materials that can be can be recycled again and again without loss of quality, and using just 5% of the original processing energy.
"Evolve Deepflow extends our offering for a sustainable and cost effective rainwater system. The new high capacity gutter enjoys the same benefits as the existing Evolve half round system of durability, high corrosion resistance, lightweight, wide choice of standard colours including Heritage black, as well as being infinitely recyclable," comments Bob Randall, MD of Marley Alutec.
"The low, whole life costs of the Evolve range combined with responsible sourcing and environmental benefits do make this the most sustainable and cost-effective rainwater system available in the UK today."
