Inspection Chambers
250mm Inspection Chamber

Can be used as an alternative to traditional manholes for depths up to 600mm. Depths of less than 600mm can be achieved by cutting the chamber riser using a hard tipped handsaw. Square or circular lids are available for use with the chamber, suitable for use in areas subject to light vehicle loading when bedded in concrete.
450mm Inspection Chamber

Can be used as an alternative to traditional manholes for depths up to 1.2 metres. Depths of less than 1.2 metres can be achieved by cutting the riser, between the ribbed sections, using a fine tooth saw. The riser is connected to the separate chamber base with a push fit joint fitted with a ring seal. If another riser section is used, it can be jointed to the one below using the same method.
Chambers should be installed on a 100mm bed of suitable material (see Excavation, bedding and backfill).
