Boss connections

Need to connect new waste pipe to an existing soil stack?
If you need to install a waste pipe through and outside wall, the best way to do it is using a diamond-tipped core drill, failing that it can be done with a power hammer drill.
Make sure that no cables are imbedded in the wall and drill from both sides to avoid a messy exit hole. Drill slightly downwards towards the outside. Take it slowly, stopping to empty out the core drill or to clean the hole with a cold chisel and club hammer.
A strap-on boss is one of the easiest methods of connecting new waste pipes to an existing soil stack (see above).
Five boss branches are designed to allow multiple waste pipe connections. Four different side entry combinations are possible, together with a rear if required. Stagger waste pipe connections, directly opposite are not permitted as cross-flow could occur.
