Air admittance valve

Valves should not be placed outside the building or other space where the risk of freezing may occur
Valves installed in a ventilated loft space must have the white polystyrene insulating cover left in place
Valves should be positioned within a building where they are easily accessible
Care must be taken to avoid contamination of the sealing surfaces as this may affect the air-tightness of the valve
The protective bag should remain on the product until ready for use
Do not store valves on their side or upside down
Valves must be fitted above the spill over level (overflow or flood level) of the highest appliance
When installed within a duct, the duct must have a ventilation grill of equivalent size to the soil stack
Valves should be installed vertically
