Jointing

Two methods of jointing are employed, either ring seal (or push-fit) or solvent weld.

Thermal movement

A 3m length of PVCu pipe will increase in length by approximately 3.6mm when subjected to a 20°C temperature variation. Therefore it is important to ensure that any movement is controlled and ring seal joints are installed to accommodate any expansion.
