Aliaxis receives the Kent Healthy Business Award

Aliaxis is pleased to announce that is has recently been awarded an excellence standard against all nine themes of the Kent Healthy Business Awards.

Building on the strong wellbeing culture that exists at Aliaxis, the plastic piping systems manufacturer approached Kent Public Health to benchmark the business against the Workplace Wellbeing Charter assessment criteria, in order to build on and improve its existing processes and policies.

Following a rigorous assessment process, which explored the themes that can affect the health and wellbeing of a business’ workforce, Aliaxis was awarded an excellent accreditation in all nine wellbeing categories – the highest accolade that can be awarded.

Danielle Verge, UK HR Business Partner at Aliaxis commented: “Receiving the topmost accolade available is brilliant news and testament to everyone that works at Aliaxis. It’s also a great platform for us to continually improve the way we operate and look after our employees. What’s more, as there are only nine businesses that have achieved the Excellent level in Kent, it makes this an even more fantastic achievement.”

The award was presented to Aliaxis during the company’s Global Corporate Challenge wellbeing event in October. The Global Corporate Challenge was implemented during the summer months, which tasked employees to increase their step count. Approximately 130 employees took part across 19 teams, achieving in total 191,588,581 steps, which is equivalent to 76,190 miles. In fact, 77 per cent of employees that took part exceeded 10,000 steps per day.
